Texas fan wins $1.2 million in College GameDay kicking contest

During a College GameDay broadcast in Austin, Texas, a fan named Connor won $1.2 million by successfully completing a second-chance kicking contest. After an initial attempt failed to hit the target despite having sufficient distance, the stakes were raised by Pat McAfee, Matthew McConaughey, and Kirk Herbstreit, who each contributed $100,000 to the pot.

Connor intends to split the winnings equally, receiving $600,000 for himself and donating $600,000 to Building Tomorrow. Building Tomorrow is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit that focuses on teaching literacy and math skills to children in rural Uganda.
