Texas film industry could benefit from proposed federal incentives
Proposed federal legislation in Congress could significantly increase the competitiveness of Texas as a hub for film and television production. U.S. Rep. Nathaniel Moran and California Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez are collaborating on a bill that would establish a 20% federal incentive for production labor, which could rise to 30% through additional bonuses.
If passed, these federal incentives could be stacked on top of existing Texas state incentives.
