Texas food banks announce free food distributions through September 6

Community organizations and food banks in Texas are conducting free food distributions from September 4 to September 6 to assist families facing food insecurity. The initiative aims to provide nutritional items, including proteins, dairy, fruits, vegetables, and legumes, to residents in major cities such as Houston, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth, Mesquite, and Lancaster.

Most distribution sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted. Many locations do not require documentation or proof of income for participants to receive assistance.

Friday, September 4: - The Beacon (Houston): 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. - Pilgrim Community Center (Houston): 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - The Orange Show (Houston): 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. - The Stewpot (Dallas): 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Brother Bill’s South Dallas Community Market (Dallas): 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - Caritas of Austin (Austin): 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Carelon (Fort Worth): 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Light House Resources & Development Center (Lancaster): 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
