Texas football updates: Argyle and Anna secure wins as Baylor enters bye week

In Texas high school football, Argyle secured a 56-21 victory over Saginaw Eagle Mountain, led by quarterback Hayes Hackney’s six passing touchdowns. The Argyle defense has remained consistent, allowing only 33 points over the last nine quarters of play.

In District 4-5A Division II, Anna defeated Frisco Raccoons 16-14 behind a buzzer-beating touchdown by Zephyr Kreye, though running back Juelz Carter sustained an injury. Celina also secured a narrow 17-14 win over Frisco Emerson. A matchup between Anna and Celina is anticipated for October 30.

In college football, the Baylor Bears enter their bye week following a four-game winning streak. Analysts suggest the team's offensive line and running back rotation, including players like Dawson Pendergrass, could lead to significant rushing performances and a potential contention for the Big 12 title.
