Texas Hill Country expects rain and thunderstorms through the weekend

Light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue through the weekend in the Texas Hill Country region. Rainfall totals are forecast to average between 0.5 and 1.5 inches, with some isolated areas potentially seeing up to 4 inches.

The unsettled weather is driven by a stationary low-pressure area over the Texas Big Bend drawing Gulf moisture inland, combined with a Pacific cold front moving east. While the most persistent rains are expected on Saturday, coverage and intensity are forecast to decrease by Sunday. Dry weather is expected to return on Monday.
