Texas homeowners dispute HOA maintenance and service issues
Residents in two different Texas neighborhoods are raising grievances against their respective Homeowners Associations (HOAs) regarding maintenance and service failures.
In Austin, a homeowner in the Preston Oaks subdivision claims the HOA is seeking repair costs for a driveway allegedly stained by oil leaking from the association’s own landscaping mowers. The resident stated that the mess has been documented and that neighbors have launched a petition against the board following a lack of resolution during recent meetings.
In Fort Bend County, residents of the Vacek Pointe subdivision reported that street lights remained non-functional for several months despite homeowners paying over $1,000 in annual dues. Residents expressed safety concerns regarding visibility in the rural area. The HOA stated the lights were already out when the management company assumed control from the builder on September 1.
