Texas Longhorns football enters fall camp with young roster and reinforced offensive line

The Texas Longhorns are entering fall camp with one of the youngest rosters in the country, currently ranked fourth-youngest heading into the 2026 season. Head coach Steve Sarkisian is focusing on how quickly new players can process information and adjust to the collegiate level during training camp.

To bolster the roster, the team utilized the transfer portal to address several positions, most notably the offensive line. The Longhorns added five new linemen, including Melvin Siani from Wake Forest. Siani is expected to pair with starting left tackle Trevor Goosby, forming a duo that analysts suggest could be one of the best in college football. Last season, Siani and Goosby combined to allow only six quarterback hits and three sacks over 1,706 snaps.
