Texas Longhorns prepare for 2026 season and recruiting

The Texas Longhorns are preparing for the 2026 season following the conclusion of fall camp. The program is currently focused on navigating a difficult schedule, which ESPN’s College Football Power Index ranks as the third-toughest in the nation. Key matchups include games against Texas State, Ohio State, and UTSA.

As the team finalizes its depth chart, Arch Manning is projected to start at quarterback with KJ Lacey as the primary backup. The offensive roster also features projected starters such as Hollywood Smothers or Raleek Brown at running back, Cam Coleman at wide receiver, and Emmett Mosley V in the slot position.

Off the field, head coach Steve Sarkisian continues recruiting efforts to bolster the roster.
