Texas Longhorns host Mississippi State Bulldogs in SEC matchup

The No. 11 Texas Longhorns are scheduled to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on October 31, 2026, at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin. Texas enters the game with a 5-2 record, seeking to maintain momentum following a win over Ole Miss. The Longhorns' defense has been a standout performer this season, ranking highly in defensive efficiency.

Mississippi State arrives with a 4-3 record but faces significant challenges after losing three consecutive games. The Bulldogs will be playing without star quarterback Kamario Taylor, who was ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a toe injury requiring surgery. Potential replacements for Taylor include sophomore walk-on Billy Puckett and fifth-year transfer AJ Swann.
