Texas Longhorns wide receivers adjust during fall camp
The Texas Longhorns are currently in fall camp as they prepare for the 2026 season. Much of the attention is focused on the evolution of the offense under Steve Sarkisian, specifically regarding the wide receiver position.
Cam Coleman, a high-profile transfer from Auburn, is expected to take on the role of the primary receiving option. During recent practices, Coleman has demonstrated his talent, including a notable one-handed catch during a fall camp session. In 2025, Coleman recorded 56 receptions for 708 yards.
Returning junior Ryan Wingo is expected to transition into a new role following the arrival of Coleman. Wingo, who served as a top passing option in 2025 with 54 receptions for 834 yards and seven touchdowns, remains a crucial part of the receiving corps alongside Coleman and Emmett Mosley.
