Texas men's golf takes 12-stroke lead at Jackson T. Stephens Cup

In the opening day of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at PGA Frisco Fields Ranch East, the No. 12 Texas men's golf team established a commanding 12-stroke lead. The Longhorns posted a two-round total of 16-under 560, with Texas A&M trailing in second place at 4-under.

Texas junior Daniel Bennett is currently tied for the individual lead at 6-under 138. Five Texas players hold positions within the top 10 of the individual standings heading into the final round of stroke play.

In women's competition, the Oregon golf team sits in third place after 36 holes with a total of 3-over par. South Carolina leads the field at 9-under, followed by Wake Forest at 8-under. Oregon junior Tong An is tied for third individually at 2-under par.
