Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby suffers season-ending knee injury
Texas Longhorns starting left tackle Trevor Goosby is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 season following a knee injury sustained during a game against Ole Miss. Goosby was carted off the field in the first quarter and returned to the sidelines on crutches.
Goosby, a senior and highly regarded NFL prospect, has been a cornerstone of the Texas offensive line, earning All-SEC honors last season. His absence leaves a significant void for quarterback Arch Manning, as Goosby was considered a premier blindside protector. Reports suggest the injury may involve the patellar tendon, though the university has not officially confirmed a diagnosis.
Senior Andre Cojoe replaced Goosby during the game. The injury adds to a growing list of setbacks for the Longhorns, who are also managing injuries to defensive player Colin Simmons and receiver Cam Coleman.
