Texas Rangers activate Cody Bradford and Cody Freeman
The Texas Rangers reinstated left‑hander Cody Bradford from the 60‑day injured list after he completed an internal brace procedure on his left elbow. Bradford, 28, will initially work as a starter and is slated to start the upcoming game against the San Francisco Giants, giving the pitching staff a boost while veteran Jordan Montgomery continues his minor‑league rehab.
The club also activated infielder Cody Freeman from the 10‑day injured list following surgery for a herniated disc. Freeman was optioned to Triple‑A Round Rock and is expected to provide utility depth at shortstop, second base, third base, and the outfield. His promotion follows recent roster moves, including the trade of Josh Smith for pitcher Adam Macko, and reflects the Rangers' effort to stay competitive for a playoff berth despite limited offseason activity.
