Texas Rangers beat Angels 5-3 to tie for AL West lead

With this victory, the Rangers moved into a tie with the Houston Astros for first place in the American League West with a 65-66 record.

Jacob Latz earned his 26th save of the season by holding off an eighth-inning rally by the Angels, which included a solo home run by Zach Neto. The Angels' offense was otherwise limited to an RBI single by Gustavo Campero and a sacrifice fly by Josh Lowe. The loss was charged to Yusei Kikuchi, who allowed five runs in five innings.
