Texas Roadhouse customer alleges repeated steak substitutions
A frequent customer at a Forsyth, Illinois, Texas Roadhouse has accused the restaurant of repeatedly serving him cheaper cuts of meat instead of the filet mignon he ordered. Kenneth Card, who has experience working in professional kitchens, claimed in a viral TikTok video that the incident occurred on three separate occasions.
Card stated that while a filet mignon costs approximately $30, he was being served an 8-ounce sirloin valued at about $20. During the most recent encounter, staff reportedly confirmed the error after taking the meat back to the kitchen for a second opinion. Card noted that despite his rapport with the staff, the manager initially dismissed his concerns.
A representative for Texas Roadhouse told reporters that the company had been unable to track the specific claim that these errors occurred on three separate occasions.
