Researchers from the Gnida Project have identified a social media post containing two videos, likely created with artificial intelligence, that falsely accuses Talarico of sexual abuse. The campaign reportedly utilizes a recently created fake X account to spread these fabricated testimonies.

Disinformation researchers state the effort is the work of a Russian propaganda group aimed at undermining Talarico, who is currently in a competitive race against Republican Ken Paxton. The incident is part of a broader trend of AI-powered disinformation campaigns designed to mislead voters as the election approaches.

In a separate development, Texas Representative Brandon Gill criticized Talarico during a television appearance, accusing the candidate of using traditional Texas values, such as faith and football, to mask progressive policy agendas.
