Texas Southern football faces UTEP in El Paso

Texas Southern University football is scheduled to play the UTEP Miners this Saturday night at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. This matchup marks the fourth meeting between the two programs and the first since 2005.

The game features several notable connections, including TSU featuring three UTEP transfers: Nico Guerra, Xavier Phipps, and Machi Robinson. Additionally, former TSU graduate and former UTEP linebacker Isaiah Bogerty will be present for the contest.

Texas Southern enters the game with six offensive starters returning and three defensive starters. The team is led by a new defensive coordinator, Scott Vestal.
