Texas State beats Incarnate Word 63-10 behind five Jackson touchdowns

Texas State defeated Incarnate Word 63-10 on Saturday night in San Marcos, Texas. Quarterback Brady Jackson led the offense, throwing five touchdown passes in the first half. Jackson completed 17 of 20 passes for 244 yards before being replaced by freshman Gavin Parkhurst in the third quarter.

Torrance Burgess Jr. contributed significantly to the victory with 140 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Other scoring plays included a 49-yard touchdown pass from Parkhurst to La’Keyleon Graves, a 45-yard rushing touchdown by Juntavious Harris, and a 77-yard punt return touchdown by Dameon Crowe.

Incarnate Word, a member of the Southland Conference, finished with a 2-2 record. Their lone touchdown came from a 32-yard pass by Emmett Brown to Roy Alexander.
