Texas Stock Exchange launches trading in Dallas
The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) officially opened trading in Dallas, starting with five securities that were previously listed on other U.S. exchanges. The new venue, nicknamed “Y’all Street,” received at least $275 million in backing from major financial firms including Bank of America, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Citadel Securities, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase, and was approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. TX Exchange’s founders say the platform aims to boost competition for issuers, create a premier listing venue and provide more jobs and investment for the Lone Star State. Analysts noted the opening was operationally smooth but highlighted that no companies are yet listed on TXSE and that future milestones will depend on dual‑listing or new domestic listings, with broader U.S. securities expected to be added by the end of the month. The launch adds another player to a market already shared by NYSE, Nasdaq and the Chicago‑based Cboe.
