Texas Tech football maintains undefeated 6-0 start

Texas Tech has reached a 6-0 record halfway through the regular season, joining BYU and Utah as the only undefeated teams in the Big 12. Following a 53-25 victory over Arizona State, the Red Raiders have received significant national recognition.

Several players have earned Midseason All-America honors. Defensive player A. J. Holmes Jr. was named to the first team by Sports Illustrated and On3, and the second team by the Associated Press. Other honorees include punter Will Karoll, linebacker Ben Roberts, and linebacker Austin Romaine.

Coach Joey McGuire emphasized the team's focus on incremental progress, noting that the squad continues to find ways to win despite facing new defensive challenges following several recent NFL draft selections.
