Texas Tech leads Red Raider Invitational women's golf
The Texas Tech women's golf team holds the lead after the opening day of the Red Raider Invitational at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders finished the first 36 holes at 3-over 579, fueled by a second-round 285, which was the only under-par team round of the day.
Senior Maja Ambroziak is currently in third place individually at 2-under 142. She is followed closely by teammate Cameron Freund in fourth at 1-under 143. Tarini Bhoga is also performing well for Texas Tech, sitting tied for seventh at 2-over 146. The team holds a four-stroke lead over BYU heading into the final round.
The University of Texas Arlington Mavericks finished the day in 10th place. After an opening round of 319, the Mavericks improved significantly in the second round with a 306, bringing their total to 49-over 625.
