Texas and Northeast US face seasonal temperature shifts

A series of cold fronts are bringing significant seasonal weather changes across various regions of the United States.

In Texas, a multi-stage cold front is sweeping the state, ending a period of prolonged warmth. The Panhandle region is expected to see temperature drops of approximately 15 degrees, with highs falling into the 50s and 60s and nighttime lows in the 40s. Some northwestern areas, including Dalhart and Dumas, face a potential flooding threat with a 40% chance of receiving two inches or more of rain. Central and South Texas will experience cooler, cloudier conditions with a 20% to 30% chance of rain through the early part of the workweek.

In the Northeast, particularly around Massachusetts and New Hampshire, temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s overnight. However, sunny conditions are forecast to follow, with daytime highs reaching the mid-to-upper 60s. The region will see a period of dry, sunny weather through much of the week, with temperatures fluctuating between the 50s and low 60s.
