Texel National Expo to feature 180 animals in Paraguay

The 9th Texel National Expo is scheduled to hold its central competition day on Friday, October 9, featuring 180 registered animals. The event aims to showcase the genetic evolution of the breed and will be held alongside the Texel Mercosur Congress.

Argentine judge Pablo Freire will oversee the category rankings. The program includes field animal judging starting at 08:00, followed by the muzzle competition at 14:00. Ignacio Callizo, Vice President of the Paraguayan Texel Breeders Association, noted high expectations regarding the genetic level achieved and the integration of international genetics in Paraguay.

The event features international participation, including delegations from Mercosur and a group of ten visitors from the United Kingdom interested in observing how British genetics acquired in recent years have adapted to local tropical conditions.
