Textures of Happiness exhibition to feature lives from Amiens

The art exhibitionTextures of Happiness’ will showcase stories of fulfillment from Amiens, France, in Hörde, Germany. Created by Dortmund film student Younes Laaguidi and French artist Manon Knasko, the project explores how individuals find happiness through their professions, hobbies, or personal passions.

The exhibition utilizes a multi-media approach, including photography, film, audio recordings, texts, and interview snippets. Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample certain handmade products created by the featured individuals.

The exhibition will be held at Kulturladen Friedrich 7 in Hörde from August 23 to September 4, 2026. Prior to this, the project will be displayed at Blend. Haus Dortmund on August 14 and 16, 2026. The project was developed under the ‘Kunst. Transfer’ funding program and is supported by the Dortmund Office for International Affairs, the Hörde district, and the Dortmund Cultural Office.
