Teyana Taylor thanks Jay‑Z and addresses audio issues after Yankee Stadium show

Teyana Taylor performed with Jay‑Z on the third night of his "Extra Innings" residency at New York’s Yankee Stadium, stepping in to sing Mary J. Blige’s part of “Can’t Knock the Hustle.” The concert, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, drew over 40,000 fans and featured other A‑list artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Usher and Pharrell.

After the show, Taylor said the stadium’s sound system and her in‑ear monitors had technical problems that affected her vocal clarity. She posted an Instagram message acknowledging the audio issues but emphasizing that “the gratitude was louder than any mic could ever be.” She thanked Jay‑Z for the opportunity, described the moment as a dream for a “little Harlem girl,” and said she would never take such chances for granted.
