TF1 announces new series adaptation of The Countess of Monte Cristo

TF1 has announced the upcoming series ‘La Comtesse de Monte-Cristo’, scheduled to premiere on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 9:10 PM. Starring Audrey Fleurot, the production offers a reimagined perspective on Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel.

Unlike traditional adaptations that focus on Edmond Dantès, this eight-episode series, with episodes lasting approximately 52 minutes, centers on Mercédès Herrera. The narrative shifts the focus to her experience of betrayal and her subsequent quest for vengeance. The cast also includes Kad Merad and Zabou Breitman.
