TFF Arbitration Board overturns Beşiktaş sanctions

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Arbitration Board has overturned several disciplinary sanctions previously imposed on Beşiktaş JK and its leadership. The decisions, reached by a majority vote, rescind penalties originally issued by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK).

The overturned sanctions included a 3.5 million TL fine against Beşiktaş and a 15-day ban for club president Serdal Adalı. Additionally, the board rescinded a 20-day ban and a 2.5 million TL fine imposed on club official Hakan Daltaban.

The original penalties were issued following social media posts on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube after a match against Alanyaspor. The PFDK had initially ruled that the club's communications were intended to “damage the reputation of football and its institutions.” The reversal of these penalties allows President Adalı to participate in the upcoming derby against Fenerbahçe.
