TFS and HTV announce AI-driven film series 'Bãi Săn
The Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio (TFS) and Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) have announced 'Bãi Săn', a multi-episode short film series utilizing artificial intelligence. The project is an adaptation of the science fiction novel by author Nguyễn Đình Tú, set in a fantasy world where humans and beast-people coexist.
Supported by technological resources from CapCut, including Seedance 2.5 and EditPilot, the production uses AI to generate visual imagery, character designs, and backgrounds. This approach addresses the high costs and technical complexities traditionally associated with the science fiction genre in Vietnam. While AI handles visual creation and post-production assistance, the TFS team remains responsible for script adaptation, directing, editing, and voice acting.
The first season is planned to consist of 15 episodes, each approximately three minutes in length. It is scheduled for release during the 2027 Lunar New Year on HTV's multimedia platforms.
