TG Jones announces closures of Redhill and Market Harborough stores

British retailer TG Jones is implementing a court‑approved restructuring plan that will see up to 150 stores closed across the UK. As part of the rollout, the high‑street store in Redhill, Surrey will cease operations on 5 September 2026, and the Post Office housed within the premises will also close on that date due to the expiry of the lease.

The company also confirmed that its Market Harborough store in Leicestershire will close on 12 September 2026 after a closing‑down sale. TG Jones said the closures aim to secure the long‑term future of the business and reduce lease liabilities, while pledging support for affected staff and customers.

Earlier closures of TG Jones outlets in Leicester and other towns have already taken place under the same plan, signalling a broader pull‑back of the retailer’s high‑street presence.
