TG4 to broadcast Dublin Marathon live

The 45th Irish Life Dublin Marathon, scheduled for Sunday, 25 October, will be broadcast live on TG4. The event is already sold out, with 22,500 participants registered to run through the streets of Dublin.

TG4 will begin its live coverage at 8:00 am, capturing the build-up before the wheelchair participants start at 8:40 am. The broadcast is intended to showcase both elite competition and participants of all abilities. Gráinne McElwain will present the coverage, supported by studio guests Rory Chesser and Mary Cullen, with commentary from Ronan Duggan and Michelle Finn.

Seán Ó Ríain, chief executive of the Dublin Marathon group, described the broadcast as a “significant investment” that serves as an important step toward the event's 50th anniversary.
