TGI AG faces regulatory bans across Europe
Financial authorities in Germany, Austria, and Liechtenstein have taken significant measures against Vaduz-based TGI AG. The Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority (FMA) determined that TGI AG was conducting unauthorized deposit business through products such as ‘Customer Basic 2 %’, ‘Sales Premium’, and ‘Sofortrabatt’.
As a result, the FMA prohibited the distribution and public offering of these products and ordered that funds received through these channels must not be held further. Similarly, the Austrian FMA clarified that TGI AG was not authorized to conduct licensed banking or deposit business in Austria.
Despite these regulatory actions and ongoing criminal investigations in Liechtenstein, concerns remain regarding customer protection as the entity appears to be restarting operations under TRUST GOLD International Ltd. based in Mauritius.
