TGSRTC to launch night bus services in Hyderabad

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is launching new night bus services in Hyderabad to accommodate increasing late-night demand. The services will operate between 10 pm and 5 am, targeting IT employees, hospitality workers, and travelers who currently rely on app-based cabs or autos.

The initiative will initially cover six major routes, including key corridors such as Secunderabad to Kondapur (Route 10H) and Secunderabad to Hayathnagar (Route 290U). Buses are expected to run at intervals ranging from 30 minutes to one hour.

TGSRTC officials stated that the decision follows a study of passenger movement and demand. While similar ‘Night Riders’ services were discontinued in the past due to low occupancy, the corporation aims to ensure success this time by concentrating on high-traffic stretches and the IT corridor. The frequency and number of buses will be adjusted based on ongoing usage monitoring.
