TÜGVA releases report on Zionist pressure in academia
The Türkiye Gençlik Vakfı (TÜGVA) has released the ‘Zionist Pressure in Academia Report,’ which examines censorship and the silencing of voices within universities worldwide. The report was produced through a collaboration between TÜGVA, Mardin Artuklu University, Kadim Akademi, and the Palestine Support Platform.
During the launch event in Istanbul, TÜGVA President İbrahim Beşinci stated that the report would serve as a foundation for future initiatives. He emphasized that the Palestinian issue must be analyzed through multiple lenses, noting that while this report focuses on academia, future studies will address health, administrative, and economic dimensions.
Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, President of the Palestine Support Platform, noted that the report is intended to be published annually. He argued that the document highlights the pressures faced by those advocating for Palestine and serves as a tool to prevent the erasure of current events from public consciousness.
