Thể Công - Viettel is set to host Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh at Hàng Đẫy Stadium on October 8 at 19:15 as part of the third round of the LPBank V. League 1-2026/27 season.

Thể Công - Viettel, managed by Velizar Popov, enters the match following a 2-0 victory against Đồng Nai City and a 0-1 loss to Công an Hà Nội. The squad has undergone significant changes, adding 11 new players including experienced domestic players like Doãn Ngọc Tân and Triệu Việt Hưng, as well as foreign players such as Ribamar, Rimario, Lucas Alves, and Andre Luiz. However, the team will be without forward Nhâm Mạnh Dũng due to a suspension.

Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, coached by Phan Như Thuật, comes into this fixture after a 0-2 loss to Công an Hà Nội and a 1-0 win against Đồng Nai. While the team has shown the ability to defend a lead, their offensive consistency remains a question. The match presents a tactical challenge, as Thể Công - Viettel focuses on defensive solidity and rapid transitions.
