TH Group implements high-tech solutions for Vietnam dairy sector

TH Group is implementing high-tech solutions to address raw material shortages and environmental concerns within Vietnam's dairy industry. Currently, domestic fresh milk production meets only 38-40% of local demand, leaving the sector reliant on imports. To combat this, TH Group has focused on developing high-yield, purebred Holstein Friesian (HF) cattle from New Zealand and the United States, rather than relying on lower-productivity crossbreeds.

By integrating advanced technology throughout its closed-loop process, the company has increased milk productivity from approximately 9,000 liters per cow per cycle to nearly 11,000 liters.

Additionally, TH Group is utilizing precision nutrition to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. At its feed and nutrition center in Nghệ An, which produces 2,000 tons of feed daily, the company employs Italian NDS software and Israeli 1-ONE technology to manage Total Mixed Ration (TMR) feeding. This precise nutritional management improves digestion and feed efficiency, which helps reduce methane emission intensity per unit of product.
