Đỗ Thị Huế dedicates 15 years to supporting people with disabilities
Đỗ Thị Huế has dedicated 15 years to supporting people with disabilities in Từ Sơn, Bắc Ninh. Having contracted spinal tuberculosis at age three, Huế overcame personal insecurities through her father's encouragement to build a self-reliant life.
She now hosts evening classes for students ranging from age 9 to nearly 50. Her teaching focuses on fundamental literacy, including recognizing letters, reading, and writing names. Beyond academics, she provides essential life skills training such as personal hygiene, eating, and dressing to help her students gain independence and confidence.
Her efforts were highlighted in the program ‘Nối trọn yêu thương’ produced by the Humanitarian Television Channel, with support from Tân Hiệp Phát.
