TH Köln hosts TURN Conference on teaching innovation

The second TURN Conference, hosted by the Technische Hochschule (TH) Köln, focused on transforming teaching through innovation and perspective shifts. The event attracted over 500 participants who engaged in an experimental format involving ideas, drafts, and publication-ready contributions.

Through concept sprints and individual consultations, attendees developed their submissions into new ideas or usable formats. Keynote speakers included Prof. Dr. Isa Jahnke from the Technical University of Nuremberg, Dr. Oliver Reis from the University of Paderborn, and Dr. Caroline Richter from the Evangelical University of Westphalia-Lippe.

The conference concluded with a discussion on barriers to sustainable higher education teaching and a session aimed at removing obstacles to transformative learning. More than 60 contributions have been made available on the conference website.
