A Fazenda 18: Thaíde wins first challenge amid rising house tensions

The 18th season of the Brazilian reality show ‘A Fazenda’ has begun, marked by intense interpersonal conflicts and strategic shifts. Rapper Thaíde won the first ‘Prova de Fogo’ (Fire Test), a circus-themed challenge, earning the ‘Lampião do Poder’ which grants him strategic advantages for the first ‘Roça’ (elimination round). The competition also saw the formation of the ‘Baia’, containing Ana Bruna Avila, Daniel Erthal, Igor Monteiro, and Sérgio Hondjakoff.

Internal tensions are high, with several heated arguments reported. Darlin Ferrattry has become a central figure in multiple disputes, facing criticism from participants like Thaíde and Eduarda Braun. Additionally, a conflict erupted between Daniel Erthal and Renê Thristan, which escalated into personal insults and physical proximity. Giovanna Gold also accused Renê of betrayal regarding his relationship with Darlin Ferrattry.

From a broadcast perspective, the season's early ratings have been a point of concern for Record, as the show has occasionally trailed behind SBT's programming. Meanwhile, the show's legacy is highlighted by the memory of deceased former participants and the significant financial success some ex-contestants have achieved through digital monetization platforms.
