Thai authorities arrest foreign nationals in separate drug and immigration cases

Thai police have conducted two separate operations involving foreign nationals. In Bangkok, a 54-year-old Israeli man and a 44-year-old Thai woman were arrested in a Huai Khwang condominium. The Israeli national faces charges of joint possession of methamphetamine, overstaying his visa by 2,095 days, and refusing a drug test. Investigators allege the man used dating apps to lure women to the residence, where he allegedly offered them cake suspected of being laced with drugs and secretly filmed sexual encounters. Both suspects have denied all charges.

In Phuket, immigration police arrested a 40-year-old French national identified as Ibrahim in Patong. The individual was wanted under an Interpol Red Notice requested by Belgian authorities for international drug trafficking. The arrest followed a discovery by an officer in Satun who matched the suspect's travel details to the international wanted list. Following the arrest, Thai authorities revoked his visa, and he awaits immigration proceedings prior to potential extradition to Europe.
