Thai authorities dismantle major drug network in Kanchanaburi
Thai authorities, led by the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) and the Royal Thai Police, have dismantled a major drug trafficking network in Sangkhlaburi, Kanchanaburi province. The operation resulted in the arrest of three key suspects, including an individual identified as Thongdee, along with two others.
This crackdown follows a massive seizure of over 15.6 million methamphetamine pills in Ayutthaya province in December 2024. As part of the ‘Safe BKK’ 90-day initiative aimed at disrupting drug supply chains and financial networks, officials seized assets totaling approximately 8.3 million baht, including buildings and structures in the Nong Lu sub-district.
