Thai banks launch financial relief for flood victims
Thai financial institutions have launched relief measures to assist individuals and small businesses affected by recent flooding in Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
ttb bank has introduced its ‘Tang Luk’ program to provide liquidity and financial relief. For home loan customers, the bank offers a three-month principal moratorium and 0% interest for two months on additional loans for home repairs. Car loan and personal credit customers can also benefit from a three-month payment moratorium. Business and SME clients may receive up to six months of principal moratorium on long-term loans and a reduction in monthly installments of up to 70% for six months on hire purchase loans.
SME D Bank has announced urgent assistance for SMEs nationwide impacted by floods. The bank is offering a moratorium on both principal and interest for term loans for up to 12 months. Additionally, it provides emergency capital for business repairs, offering unsecured loans ranging from 30,000 to 200,000 THB. These emergency funds feature an MLR interest rate and a 12-month principal moratorium over a three-year loan term.
