Thai businesses emphasize entrepreneurial skills and AI integration
Saha Pathanapibul PLC (SPC) and the Big Data Institute (BDI) are highlighting the necessity of combining technological proficiency with business acumen to navigate the era of artificial intelligence.
Vetit Chokwatana, Executive Chairman of SPC, stated that while AI can rapidly analyze data and suggest business directions, human judgment remains essential. He emphasized that employees must develop entrepreneurial skills to understand market contexts, customer needs, and data accuracy. SPC is focusing on bridging the gap between generations by combining the experience of older employees with the digital fluency of younger staff.
Meanwhile, the Big Data Institute (BDI) has launched 'The UP 2026' project to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Thailand. Recognizing that many SMEs struggle to apply AI knowledge practically, BDI selected 55 entrepreneurs from various sectors for intensive training. The program aims to move beyond theoretical learning by providing one-on-one mentorship to help businesses use data and AI to solve specific operational problems, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
