Thai companies report strong Q2 2026 earnings growth
Several Thai companies reported strong financial performance for the second quarter of 2026, driven by growth in renewable energy, international healthcare, and investment returns.
Absolute Clean Energy (ACE) saw net profit surge 87.3% YoY to 278.7 million baht, supported by significant growth in solar and community waste-to-energy power plants. WHA Utilities and Power (WHAUP) reported a 276% YoY increase in net profit to 532 million baht, fueled by rising demand for industrial water and solar rooftop electricity.
In the financial sector, Thanachart Capital (TCAP) reported a 26.16% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching 4,765 million baht. The company announced a share buyback program of up to 7.5 billion baht to enhance shareholder value.
Praram 9 Hospital (PR9) also showed growth, with EBITDA rising 6.2% YoY to 310.7 million baht. The hospital's performance was bolstered by a significant increase in international patients, particularly from Myanmar, which now accounts for 29% of its total revenue.
