Thai court acquits Samart and Boss Paul in The iCon Group money laundering case

The Criminal Court has acquitted Samart Jenchaichitruanit, his mother Wilawan Phutthamrit, and Warattapol Waratworakul, known as ‘Boss Paul’, in a money laundering case involving The iCon Group. The court ruled that the prosecution's evidence was insufficient to establish guilt regarding the alleged laundering of 2.5 million baht.

Following the verdict, Samart criticized the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), accusing the agency of unfair treatment and questioning the basis of the evidence used to obtain arrest warrants against him. He suggested that the investigation lacked consistency compared to other high-profile cases.
