Thai culinary workshop held for hospitality students in Bhutan
A Thai culinary workshop held at the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality (RIT) in Thimphu is providing Bhutanese hospitality students with hands-on experience in authentic Thai cooking. Led by a Thai chef, the program aims to introduce students to international culinary techniques and flavors, helping them prepare for the diverse expectations of the global tourism industry.
Participants noted that the workshop offers rare opportunities to expand their professional skills and explore new career paths within Bhutan’s growing hospitality sector. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, the Ambassador of Thailand, indicated that sharing Thai cuisine serves as a method of connecting young Bhutanese people with Thai culture while enhancing their vocational training.
