Thai Digital Minister Chaiyachon Chidchob calls for one‑year performance review before any cabinet reshuffle

Minister Chaiyachon Chidchob, head of Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, said any reshuffle of the cabinet should be based on an assessment of each minister’s work rather than political bargaining. He urged that the government be given at least a year to demonstrate results, noting that in the first four months the cabinet has already tackled structural issues such as reforming energy pricing, addressing local election fraud and strengthening anti‑corruption measures.

Chaiyachon added that his party, Phumjaithai, has informed all ministers that performance is the primary criterion, and that a longer evaluation period—around twelve months—would allow a fair judgment of the cabinet’s effectiveness.
