Thai energy firms B.Grimm and RATCH Group announce major expansion plans

Major Thai energy players B.Grimm Power and RATCH Group have announced strategic expansion plans focused on renewable energy and infrastructure development.

B.Grimm Power aims to increase its production capacity to 10,000 MW by 2030, with a target of over 50% clean energy. The company is specifically targeting the growing demand from data centers, having already secured 2,000 MW in demand. Key upcoming projects include the 365 MW Nakwol offshore wind farm in South Korea. B.Grimm is also preparing for opportunities arising from Thailand's new Power Development Plan (PDP) and Direct Power Purchase Agreements (Direct PPA).

RATCH Group has set an EBITDA target of 15 billion baht, supported by a 10 billion baht investment budget for projects in Thailand and Indonesia. The group is integrating AI technology for predictive maintenance at its plants in Rayong to improve efficiency and reduce costs. RATCH also expects to recognize revenue from solar power projects in the Philippines and is actively participating in renewable energy auctions, including solar, wind, and biomass, while maintaining natural gas assets for grid stability.
