Thai gaming industry secures 270 million baht in trade deals

The Thai government is actively promoting its domestic gaming industry as a key component of the nation's creative economy. Following the participation of 15 Thai gaming entrepreneurs at gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) reported successful trade negotiations totaling approximately 270 million baht (roughly 8.19 million USD).

Of the 994 potential partners met during the event, 673 were new contacts, representing over 67% of the total. To build on this momentum, the government plans to host the gamescom asia × Thailand Game Show 2026 from October 29 to November 1, 2026. This initiative aims to establish Thailand as a central hub for the gaming industry within Southeast Asia.
