Thai Government Acts to Correct Health App Data and Refine Welfare Card Screening

The Ministry of Public Health has accelerated coordination with hospitals to investigate and correct mismatches in the "Mhor Phrom" digital health application after users reported that the app’s records did not match the services they actually received. Spokesperson Ploy Talay Laksamee Saengchan said the app’s data transmission normally works, but the ministry is working with the relevant facilities to identify causes, amend inaccurate entries and tighten data‑handling procedures.

The government also thanked citizens for understanding the new screening system for the State Welfare Card and said it will review the criteria to improve precision. With more than 9 million cardholders, the updated database will help target low‑income and genuinely poor households, extend the usage period for existing beneficiaries, broaden appeal windows and support up‑skilling and income‑generation programmes for working‑age adults.
