Thai government agencies receive Lertrat Awards for public service innovation

The Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) and the Office of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) have both received the 2026 Lertrat Award in the Open Governance category, presented by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission.

The DIP was recognized for its “IP One” Integrated Intellectual Property Service Center. This one-stop service aims to enhance government efficiency by providing rapid access to intellectual property registration, deep consultation, patent trend analysis, and legal mediation through both on-site and digital channels.

The PDPC received the award for its proactive PDPA initiative, which focuses on public awareness and engagement. The agency has transitioned from a purely regulatory role to a collaborative one, expanding its PDPA Center to regional areas, developing the Government Platform for PDPA Compliance (GPPC), and providing online learning tools to help citizens understand their data rights.
